||SESSION SPOTLIGHT||⁣

While working with a young client, I used the song “Everything Is Awesome” from the Lego Movie. ⁣

This song is great when discussing the idea of teamwork. I asked my client the following questions..⁣

• When have you been part of a team?⁣

• why are things better when we work as a team?⁣

His response blew my mind and was an amazing example of how the brain works. ⁣

- instead of explaining his answers directly, he picked up several pillows and carried them across the room. At first I thought he was distracted and ignoring my question. He proceeded to tell me about ants and how they carry food on their backs. He said - if an ant is carrying something heavy, the other ants will come help to make it easier.⁣

We then continued to talk about ants and related the conversation to teamwork in school and with family. ⁣

I think it is so amazing how his brain connected the idea of teamwork in a whole other concept that MADE SENSE. ⁣

I love my job. ⁣
